yeah that opening riff is damn near IDENTICAL… kinda makes you wonder if it was on purpose or if they had just been listening to alot of Trivium and didn’t realize it….

Lol, I agree. I am not a fan of Trivium’s Deathcore outfit on their first two albums, but Black Tide has changed their style to sound a lot like them now. The first Black Tide was great heavy/power, but the new one? Eww… = /

I noticed it when I first heard the album I was like WTF!!!! Ascendancy !!!!
